It is carried out analysis of defects, that occur in billets cast on CCM 2 Třinec Steelworks, a.s. Defects with the biggest frequency - under-surface cracks - are confronted with casting machine parameters, i.e. factors, that participate on their arising. Influence of individual factors on frequency, depth and length of this cracks is evaluated by methods of mathematical statistics.
