    Article describes basic physical-chemical reactions occurring under singular conditions, such as high temperature of plasma arc and extremely short time of reaction, when reaction between melted metal and wall of crucible has been completely eliminated.It is smelting in cold smelting crucible. Quality of prepared material can be compared with that of metal prepared in electron-beam furnace or electric arc vacuum furnace. The object of investigation was particularly titanium and titanium alloy with trade description Ti 6Al 4V. This alloy is well known all over the world. In SR and CR it is not commonly processed by smelting and casting. Article gives for comparison also certain results obtained by melting in induction vacuum furnace.
