    Microstructural Characterisation of AZ91 Magnesium Alloy

    The paper presents microstructural characterization of AZ91 (Mg-9Al.-0,6Zn) alloy in its initial state (after casting). Melting was performed in a 250 kg induction furnace by applying modification with SPEFINAL T 200 and refining with Emgesal Flux 200. The casting temperature was 740°C. The research methodology covered microscopic investigation as well as LM, SEM and an X-ray microanalysis.
