    Residual stress field and evaluation of isostress contours in ceramics

  • Original language description

    The residual stress steels field is initiated in the vicinity of sharp indent. To the studying of the residual stress field the special indentation technique was applied. Indentation technique is reliable one which makes possible to determine the set ofmechanical properties of ceramics (brittle materials). Some cracks are developed near the indentation cavity and their parameters reflect expect the fracture toughness value and response to the repeated loading level of residual stresses.
