    Ti-Al base alloys find ever broader application thanks to their outstanding mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance even at increased temperatures. This pre-destinates them for application in aircraft and automotive industries. Problem of these alloys consist on their limited plastic formability at room temperature. Possibilities of influencing the structure and properties of titanium alloys based on intermetallic phases from the system Ti - Al can by realised by proposal of their chemical composition, selection on conditions for melting, casting, plastic deformation and thermal treatment and directional solidification. The paper deals exactly with these alloys Ti-48Al-5Nb, Ti-44Al-8Nb, Ti-46Al-1,5Mo-0,2C. The differences in microstructuresof alloy were observed. Obtained microstructures were described and analysed
