    The diffusion joints of Ni/Ni3Al were prepared by means of electron beam welding in vacuum furnace. The specimens in the evacuated silica tube underwent the diffusion annealing at 1100 °C for different annealing times: 48, 96 and 192 hours. The transverse concentration profiles of aluminium before and after the diffusion treatment were determined by EDAX microanalysis. During the diffusion there is a constant concentration jump on the g/g´ interface boundary according to the phase diagram and this boundary moves with time according to the parabolic law. The microstructure properties were investigated before and after diffusion annealing by means of light and AFM microscopies. In the context of the concentration fluctuations the microstructure changes and Kirkendall voids occurrence were observed.

    Difuzní spoje Ni/Ni3Al byly připraveny svařením elektronovým paprskem ve vakuové peci. Vzorky v zatavené křemenné ampuli byly difuzně žíhány při 1100°C po dobu 48, 96 a 192 hodin. Koncentrační profily hliníku byly určeny před a po tepelném zpracování pomocí EDAX mikroanalýzy. Během difuze se na rozhraní g/g´ vyskytoval konstantní koncentrační skok v souhlase s binárním diagramem. Vlastnosti mikrostruktury byly studovány pomocí optické a AFM mikroskopie. V souvislosti se změnami koncentrací byl pozorovánvýskyt Kirkendallovy pórovitosti.
