Study of microstructure selected magnesium alloys
Original language description
Mg-Al-Zn based alloys are the most commonly used magnesium alloys for structural components. AZ91 alloy is a widely used casting magnesium alloy. Contemporary AZ61, AZ31 and many new progressive alloys are used for utilisation of cast and formed magnesium alloys. The paper presents microstructure of magnesium alloys with graduated aluminium content after casting, heat treatment and application ECAP method, respectively. The fine grain microstructure after ECAP method was occurred. The microstructure changes of this alloy have been investigated using light microscopy and SEM.
