Original language description
The disposal of used automobile tyres causes many environmental and economical problems. Pyrolysis (heating without oxygen) can be considered as a viable recycling technology, that three phases were obtained: solid, liquid and gas. The main objective ofthe present study is to analyse gas phase and compare parameters of the obtained pyrolytic carbon black with parameters of comercial carbon blacks. Pyrolysis of scrape tyres was carried out in a argon atmosphere at temperature 650 °C in apparatus Pyrotronic. Amount and gross calorific value of gas phase is sufficient to heating up the pyrolytic apparatus. Compared to the commercial carbon blacks, the specific surface area and iodine adsorption number of pyrolytic carbon black corresponds with commercialcarbon blacks.
