On the equilibrium crystallization of three-component solid solution alloys
Original language description
Equilibrium crystallization of continuous solid solution alloys in three-component systems has been investigated. It is shown that in any three-, four- and multi-component alloy with unrestricted solubility in liquid and solid states the equilibrium crystallization is realized by analogy with a two-component alloy due to the diffusion decomposition of liquid and the diffusion interaction with the solid phase which precipitated previously. More complex processes of the equilibrium crystallization realization in these multi-component systems have been discovered. It is shown that when temperature decreases, initially non-equilibrium liquid and solid phases are formed on the basis of the available equilibrium liquid phase by the diffusion decomposition, and the equilibrium solid phase which was present before the temperature decrease is preserved, and the diffusion interaction leads to the composition and mass change of all available phases, bringing the system into a new equilibrium stat
