Torsion Test and Application to Rolling Conditions
Original language description
The simulation of hot working processes by hot torsion techniques provides and inexpensive and convenient method for testing and optimising new forming technologies. The torsion test provides a rather simple application for the laboratory investigation,as high strains and strain rates for strip rolling can be attained at rather constant surface strain rate and quantitative estimates of flow stress-strain curve can be obtained.
