Determination of the chromium diffusion coefficients and their temperature dependence in the welded joint of two steels
Original language description
The paper presents the original results of methodology for evaluation of experimental data concerning the diffusion of chromium in the welded joint of two steels, low-alloy steel CrNiMoV and low-alloy silicon steel. The steels forming the given welded joint are of the same structural type, both have ferrite structure. The measurement of redistribution of the given substitution element was made in temperature range 500-1000 °C. Distribution of selected element perpendicularly across welded interface wasdetermined using the energy dispersive (ED) X-ray micro-analysis. Solution of the 2nd Fick's law for one-dimensional diffusion was the theoretical basis for evaluation of concentration profiles. Parameters of diffusion equation were evaluated by the method of non-linear regression.
