Effects of temperature, pressure and volume of reacting phase on Photocatalysis exempliefied by CO2 photoreduction on suspended nanocrystalline TiO2
Original language description
The effect of temperature, pressure and volume of reactant solution on the photocatalytic reduction of CO2 employing TiO2 suspension was studied in annular batch photoreactor. Reaction products in liquid phase (methanol, formaldehyde) and in gas phase (methane, ethane, carbon monoxide, oxygen and hydrogen) were analysed by GC. The photocatalytic reduction of CO2 is not significantly sensitive to small variations of temperature (10 K). The CO2 pressure at carbonation of solution influenced the selectivity of CO2 reduction to methane and methanol, while the hydrogen yield is hundred times higher and independent on the pressure.
