Simplified models of hot deformation resistance of HSLA steels.
Original language description
Based on measurement of forces in the laboratory hot rolling of flat samples, an effective method of description of the mean flow stress (MFS) values was developed. Two HSLA steels, alloyed with Nb-Ti and Nb-Ti-Ni respectively, were selected to demonstrate this experimental method. For both investigated steels, two models had to be developed ? one for low temperatures (two-phase and ferrite region) and one for high temperatures (austenite region). Deformation terms could be excluded from high-temperature model equations. Influence of strain is exhibited only through the strain rate term in this case.
