Structure, mechanical properties and fatigue of magnesium alloy AZ91
Original language description
Magnesium alloys has been used for a wide variety of applications, namely from the reason of their low density and high strength?to?weight ratio. Due to its attractive properties, magnesium alloys has been successfully used in various structural applications. Selected mechanical properties of magnesium cast alloy AZ91 as-cast state and after a heat treatment used for automobile wheels were investigated. The results of tensile test, impact test, hardness and fatigue test are presented in this paper. These results, with using light microscopy and SEM fracture analysis, are completed.
