Shape memory alloys on the base of TiNb

Original language description

The alloys with nominal composition of Ti-25at.% Nb and Ti-22at.% Nb were prepared of plasma melting with using Ti-45 wt.% Nb master alloy and Ti pieces (3N8). Heat treated at 1100°C for 12 hour in flowing Ar gas and water quenched at 500°C. Metallographic observation, microhardness measurement and general microanalysis of prepared specimens were performed in as-cast and annealed conditions.
