    Both the thermal anemometry [1] and electrodiffusion diagnostics [2], [3] were before now used to measuring near-to-wall velocity profile. These results were rather qualitative because of high uncertainties, both in used experimental technique and interpreting theory. Improvements of the mentioned electrodiffusion method consist in: (i) relating the mass-transfer coefficients to well-specified points on the velocity profile, (ii ) simultaneous using a set of circular probes of diameters ranging from 0.2to 2.0 mm, (iii) improving theory by solving full 3D equation of convective diffusion [4], (iv) careful manufacture and calibration of the circular ED probes [4], and (v) using the potentiostatic transients to independent determination [4] of the diffusivities. According to calibration experiments with Newtonian liquids, inaccuracies of the determined velocity profiles are below 10% in both variables.
