    This work is aimed to evaluation of thermal degradation of coal impregnated by low-concentrated solutions of five chlorides It follows from the evaluation of the solid phase that both its specific surface area and its sorption qualities increased. The evaluation for the liquid phase showed the changes in the yield of phases and increase of basic aromatic hydrocarbons in obtained coal tar.
