Effect of previous annealing upon strain-hardening curves of carbon steel C55
Original language description
Influence of the annealing mode on strain-hardening curves was studied by means of the analysis of mechanical properties of the steel grade C55. Samples with the primary structure after hot rolling, or with structure after cold reduction in the amount of50% and the following recrystallization annealing, underwent the multi-pass rolling with the total height reduction from 5 to 70%. Values of strength and yield stress were determined for particular rolled products. From the obtained data the graphic dependences of strength properties on deformation were plotted and the relations describing strain-hardening of the material after different previous processing were derived. The metallographic analysis of all rolled samples was carried out as well. The strain-hardening curves were compared with the HSLA steels investigated before.
