This paper discusses the possibilities of physical modelling of transfer processes between metal and slag. The modelling was carried out on a physical model of the ladle designed in a geometric scale of 1:9. The behaviour of transfer processes was studied in terms of changes in concentration of the monitored transition element. The influence of blowing intensity as well as the location of the blowing block or submerged lance on the behaviour of transfer processes was studied. Discussion focuses on the factors affecting the intensity of these ongoing processes under actual operational conditions of the secondary metallurgy operations.
