N2O catalytic decomposition and temperature programmed desorption tests on alkali metals promoted catalysts
Original language description
Catalytic N2O decomposition and temperature programmed desorption of O2 (TPD-O2) over calcined Co-Mn-Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) modified with small amount of alkali metals (Li, Na, K) were studied. Addition of K and Na increased the N2O conversionin the inert gas, while a decrease of the N2O conversion was observed for Li-containing catalysts. No oxygen effect on the activity of potassium modified catalyst was observed, in the cases of non-modified catalyst and Li- and Na-containing catalysts, the catalytic activity was lower against results in inert gas (Fig.1). TPD-O2 was studied on catalysts pre-adsorbed by O2. From TPD results are noticeable that the highest oxygen amount was desorbed in the case of K-content catalyst which is the most active both in inert gas and in oxygen atmosphere. Correlation between activity of catalysts and TPD-O2 results is discussed.
