USE OF THE INDENTATION TESTS FOR THE EVALUATION OF MACHINABILITY OF MATERIALS DURING ABRASIVE WATERJET CUTTING
Original language description
The paper deals with the possibilities of using the indetation tests for the evaluation of machinability of materials during abrasive water jet cutting. Indentation tests are used to simulate the interaction between abrasive particles and material duringthe process of abrasive water jet cutting. On the basis of these tests the machinability of materials can be characterized. The machinability of materials is very important for optimization of the technological process parameters of abrasive water jet cutting, which affect the quality, performance and economy of the entire process.
