Original language description
The paper deals with an evaluation of mechanical properties of surface layers of aluminium alloy. Hysitron TI 950 TriboIndentor was used for a nanomechanical study of surface properties. A purpose was to determine the surface hardness of alloy with a lowfriction coefficient on the basis of the indentation and scratch tests. Knowing the hardness (resistivity) of the surface layer can help to a better identification of process causing wear of surface layers, or to identify the individual components of critical forces of abrasive particles, which cause wear during the abrasive waterjet cutting process.
