Original language description
Weld and its close neighbourhood of stainless steel with titanium of commercial purity were investigated. In vicinity of join line and 3mm away the bonding line grain size was measured both in as join condition and after annealing (600°C/1h/air). Ratio of the deformed matrix in the area of wave crest and wave trough were determined as well as the micro-hardness (HV0.1) in the mentioned areas. Differences between matrixes and interface were ascribed to presence of intermetallic phases. Toughness tests were also part of solution. Material was in as clad state and also after heat treatment, which was reason of higher sevice life.
