Possibilities of investigation of viscosity of metallic and oxidic melts
Original language description
The presented article deals with the possibilities of investigation of viscosities of molten inorganic systems. The emphasis is mainly on theoretical analysis of structural regularities of slag melts and finding relations between their microstructure, which depends on temperature and chemical composition, and their viscosity. Investigation concerned mainly oxidic systems, for which influences of their chemical and mineralogical composition on the viscosity in the molten state are discussed. At the sametime, the work deals with possible investigation of metallic melts. Some mathematical models are introduced, that are suitable for mathematical simulation of the behaviour of metallic melts in terms of viscositiesTheoretical assumptions are further complemented by experiments performed with use of high temperature viscometer that makes it possible to determine experimentally the dependence of melts viscosity on temperature up to the temperatures of 1600°C.
