Comparison of phase transformation temperatures for steels determined by several methods
Original language description
The paper is focused on comparison of different methods of determination of phase transformation temperatures. We paid our attention to C-Mn and C-Mn-V-Nb steels. Different methods of temperature measurements were chosen, namely by means of the temperature scanner, dilatometer and differential thermal analysis (DTA). In case of all these methods the specimens of both steels were heated to the temperature of 1050°C, with dwell of 7 minutes at this temperature. For the C-Mn-V-Nb steel, the experiments were completed with one more measurement, where the specimen was heated to 1200°C, with dwell of 30 minutes, with the aim to ensure dissolving of the precipitates. Two temperatures, Ar3 and Ar1, were examined. The sub-range of individual temperatures in case of all used methods does not exceed 25°C.
