Comparison of power plants using renewable energy sources with respect to electric power production cost by application of the evaluation model

  • Original language description

The paper contains a comparison of four power plants using renewable energy sources (RES), with respect to both the sale price of energy produced therein. Those selected power plants (within the territory of Czech Republic) are comparable with respect tothe volume of electric power produced in one-year period. Evaluation of the energy produced is conducted using an evaluation model based on breakdown of annual hourly load curve of a particular power plant. The evaluation model is described in theory first and then applied onto the annual hourly profile for production of power within a particular plant on RES basis. That results in determination of sales price of electric power generated within a specific profile using a particular renewable energy source and mutual comparison of various sources. The advantage brought by this method of evaluation is the fact that it concerns seasonal oscillation in production of electric power, including potential deviations. For results of this evalua
