Managers of companies deal with productivity, because they believe that it is a representative indicator of the overall performance of their company. Productivity growth leads to a reduction of costs, so it is a key factor which affects the position of the company in relation to the competition. Increasing productivity is one of the essential conditions of company competitiveness. This article identifies important factors that alter levels of productivity and presents possibilities of its monitoring andmeasurement.
