Verification of Salt Cores Properties on Die ? Cast Test Sample
Original language description
This paper is focused on gradual progress of inorganic salts utilization in foundry technology. Individual technologies of salt cores production and results of measurements of mechanical properties (e.g. strength) of pure and composite salts are presented. Verification of salt cores on first testing casting samples (surface quality ? roughness, dimensional accuracy, core solubility from casting), which were poured using high-pressure casting technology, is summarized in conclusion. This progressive technology should ensure a simple and ecological friendly solution for cores removing from castings with complicated shapes based on non-ferrous alloys, especially Al-alloys
