The paper presents an example of testing the accuracy of the setting and evaluation of technological parameters of predicting steel quality. The system was checked during continuous casting of microalloyed steel in the equipment of concast of slabs. Theintention was to choose such a sequence, melt and consequent 250x1530 mm slab, which within the framework of the given parameters of the system of quality prediction in the concast equipment, did not have any deviations from the specified standards for the steel quality produced. The samples were selected according to the cutting plan. Their chemical composition, microstructure and their local chemical composition in the area of central segregation were analyzed.
