Original language description
The paper deals with the results of measurements of oxygen activity (aO) in a cast iron with spheroidal and lamellar shape of graphite. The results were recorded in operating melts in the foundry of centrifugally cast rolls. The measurements were performed with a newly developed device for measuring of oxygen activity in the Celox-Foundry cast irons by HERAEUS Electro-Nite company with a special probe developed for (aO) measuring in cast irons. The changes of oxygen activity were recorded in the courseof metallurgical processing in an electric induction furnace, before modification and also during the process of protruding of melt after the modification in ladle.
