Original language description
Due to continuous environmental changes and increasing power costs, which are related to energetic resources exploitation, it is necessary to make choice of technologies that effectively work with fossil, as well as alternative, fuels utiliza-tion. One of the possibilities is cogeneration, i.e. combined production of electrical energy and heat. The paper deals with cogeneration using a microturbine. The con-crete C30 microturbine type is installed in VŠB-TUO Department of thermal engi-neering laboratoryin Ostrava. This device is described from technical, ecological and economical point of view.
