Cast cellural metals with regular structure
Original language description
The contribution describes the production, properties and applications of metal foams. Emphasis is laid on cast metal foams with regular cellular structure. Porous metals and metallic foams are metallic materials containing pores in their structure thatare intentionally created. Their specific structure then gives them a very advantageous combination of physical and mechanical properties, such as low density and high rigidity along with high capability of absorption of impact energy. The work is focused on the production of cast metallic foams with regular cellular structure. The aim is to produce a complicated shape cast using simple foundry casting method.
