Original language description
The aim of this paper is to examine the microstructure and to confront the analysis results with the properties of a forged piece made of C45 steel (component of braking systems). The workpiece was forged within three steps and then controlled cooled. The problem is the insufficient yield strength. Using the Quanta FEG 450 scanning electron microscope, with the help of the EBSD analysis, the grain boundaries and the texture are observed. An optical microscope is utilized for analyzing the phases, microstructure and the grain shape and grain size.
