Original language description
An important factor that influences the steel quality is its purity. Steel contamination with excessive quantity of inclusions can be a major cause of problems, leading to the development of the degradation process and product devaluation. An absolute necessity for ensuring the required purity is also maintaining of the correct technology, including the elimination of defects of the equipment during the manufacturing process. In this work the cause of degradation of rotor made of NiCrMoV steel was evaluated on the basis of metallographic and electron-microscopic analysis.
