Slag from steel production and their binding properties
Original language description
The aim is to monitor the binding properties of slag from steel production. For this work were chosen nine kinds of steel slag. Slag was taken from various production sites and has different chemical and phase composition. To verify to binding propertiesof the steel slag were activated by addition of water or by adding of water glass. Measured values of the compressive strength were compared with the parameters of activated blast furnace slag because this slag has good binding properties. Slag with a suitable binder values will be used as a binder to form a dense material of fine-grained metallurgical waste.
