Ecological Aspects in the Process of Turning Cast Iron with Coated Tools
Original language description
The article presents the research results on the influence of the PVD coating on the cutting tool on the surface roughness and energy consumption in the cast iron turning process. It was shown that using coated tools leads to obtaining a surface qualitatively corresponding to the ground surface and to reducing the power consumption of the machine tool. In addition, the process itself, carried out without a cooling and lubricating liquid, is more eco-friendly, as it excludes its use, disposal and negative environmental impact. (C) 2022. Author(s).
