Original language description
The new two-stand, reversible tandem rolling mill was developed in the Institute of Modelling and Controlling of the Forming Processes. This computer controlled laboratory equipment will be introduced along with its basic parameters. Its experimental possibilities will be documented by simulation of the hot strip rolling process. The weldable plain-carbon steel was worked during continuously descending temperature or applying some more complex procedures based on the inter-pass reheating. Thus the dirent technological processes of the hot strip rolling were simulated (continuous mill, Steckel mill) and the impact of their parameters on the final structure and mechanical properties of the specimen after normalizing was evaluated.
