The article deals with the changing conditions in today´s world, when firms and governments get a new role and economic growth is more and more connected with human capital and foreign investment inflow to a particular country. The Czech Republic went through deep changes in 90-ies and foreign capital coming to the country showed a significant impact in various ways: in privatization, transfer of new technologies, as a factor of growing exports and restructuring the production. Capital inflow from abroad has its positive, but also negative impacts
