The aim of the paper is to try to analyse in more detail the effects of minimum wage increase in the the Czech Republic on the labour market. The non-standard minimum wage development in CZ from 1998 to 2000 provides a precondition for following minimumwage changes reflected in wages, wage distribution, hours worked and unemployment.
