Transition economical process of small opened economy is important and shows specific features. One category of the financial indicators of the companies and industries are performance measures. Company or industry performance could be defined in severalways. The application of EVA measure in financial decision-making of transitional economy brings new aspects, managerial directions and orientation of companies and industries in comparing with traditional return on equity (ROE) measure. Czech economy performance measured by EVA indices is described and discussed. Input data determinations derived from short-term input data, non-liquid capital market, small companies etc. are discussed. Several conclusions are significant, for instance there is difference in the level of EVA indices of the foreign affiliate companies and domestic companies. Absolute level of EVA is in many companies negative, however, the trend of EVA indices is positive.
