Currently, at the majority of universities in the Czech Republic we can view considerable efforts aimed at introduction of various forms of e-Learning to their numerous study programs. Furthermore, they tend to co-operate at choosing software utilities for design, running and administration of teaching courses complemented by building a distributing library of its elements. Directory services and their implementation through eDirectory represents a suitable platform for establishing a global virtual university for the support of synchronous and asynchronous teaching.
