One of the most significant issues influencing the success of a company is the effective corporate governance. It concerns the most significant areas of company activities on the highest level and the boards are responsible for these areas. One of theseimportant fields of corporate governance is the creation and implementation of a strategy. Boards need complete information and can use a lot of kinds of managerial systems. One of them is the Balanced Scorecard that supports the strategic management andhelps a company translate strategy into action.

Jednou z nejvýznamnějších otázek, ovlivňujících úspěch společností je jejich efektivní řízení a správa. Zahrnuje nejvýznamnější oblasti činností společností na nejvyšší úrovni; za naplnění těchto činností jsou zodpovědné správní orgány. Jednou z nejdůležitějších oblastí řízení a správy je tvorba a zavedení strategie. K tomu správní orgány potřebují kompletní informace, které jim mohou zajistit různé podpůrné manažerské systémy. Jedním z nich je tzv. Balanced Scorecard, která podporuje strategické řízeníspolečností a pomáhá společnostem realizovat naplánovanou strategii.
