Web applications are some of the application type, which is possible to create by the help of programming language Java. These applications use mostly relational database systems and adjusted development tools. Because Java is object oriented programminglanguage and it would be more natural use object databases to by unnecessary mapping object into relational tables. JavaServer Faces is a technology of the Sun Microsystems, Inc., which enables a cleaner development of a web applications. This technology is ready to use with the relational databases too. This article should to show, how to use JavaServer Faces technology with object-oriented databases.

JavaServer Faces (JSF) jsou technologií, která byla vyvinuta společností Sun Microsystems, Inc., umožňující čistší vývoj webových aplikací. Co se týče persistence dat, je i tato technologie připravena pro použití s relačními databázemi. Tento příspěvek by měl ukázat, jak používat technologii JavaServer Faces s databázemi objektově orientovanými.
