The significance of soft system modeling for preservation of organization competitiveness is to secure its prosperity in every management organization. In general, prosperity is understood as a situation in the development of an organization and therefore it safeguards efficient long-term performance of the mission. This situation and its managing are influenced by a lot of outside- and inside-factors. This paper focuses on the significance of soft system modeling while evaluating the prosperity of an organization and competitiveness preservation in the case of the academic educational system - Faculty of Economics, Technical University of Ostrava.
