Risk management and FMEA
Original language description
Risk management is a rapidly developing discipline and there are many and varied views and descriptions of what risk management involves, how it should be conducted and what it is for. The purpose of this article is to provide a general overview of and references for some of the main tools that might be used in risk management by industry and services. The references are included as an aid to gain more knowledge and detail about the particular tool. This is not an exhaustive list. It is important to note that no one tool or set of tools is applicable to every situation in which a risk management procedure is used. Risk management is not only for companies or public organizations, but for any activity whether short or long term. The advantages and opportunities should be viewed not just in the context of activity itself but in relation to the many and varied stakeholders who can be affected.
