Original language description
Paper deals with one of major problems of most developed countries, which is a high unemployment rate. Czech Republic, as well as other countries, is still experiencing effects of a global economic crisis. One of main factors that significantly affect alevel of unemployment is a relatively high tax and contribution burden on labor. Another factor affecting unemployment, relating mainly to European countries, is a generous welfare system, which discourage to work mainly a low-wage group of inhabitants.Present economic situation shows a need to reform the current welfare system. This problem can not be solved only by reducing social benefits and tightening conditions for their payment. It is necessary in order to harmonize a social system with a tax and contribution system. The Czech Republic is due to its generous social system facing with another long-term problem, which is a reluctance of people in a productive age to work. These problems can be solved only if there is a balance of
