The development of information and communication technologies radically changes the conditions for building and managing a successful business. The authors' focus is on the benefits of using Business Intelligence tools in the management of companies andinstitutions and to ensuring the availability and quality of these software solutions by means of Cloud Computing services. It also discusses the benefits and risks of Cloud Computing for users, as a set of easily usable and easily accessible virtualizedIT resources. They draw on their own three-year experience of teaching Business Intelligence products through SaaS in a university environment, at the Faculty of Economics, VSB-TU Ostrava as well as abroad (Poland).
