Original language description
Multivariate statistical techniques enable the identification of region´s clusters based on socio-economic similarity. The paper applies cluster analysis to classify NUTS 2 regions of Visegrad Four (V4) countries into homogeneous clusters and evaluate the development of regional disparities in the years 2000 and 2010.The results of cluster analysis showed that more developed NUTS 2 regions with capital cities have still significant socio-economic position from the other regions and they are grouped to one homogeneous cluster.
