Original language description
The paper examines the effects of the customs union created on the background of the existing Eurasian Economic Community (EURASEC) among Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in 2010. The aim of the paper is the assessment of the effects of the customs union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia on their bilateral trade as well as the impact of the customs union on European Union (EU) trade. For the future, deeper economic integration in the form of single economic space created by Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia andother potential countries from EURASEC presents serious obstacles for developing tighter EU trade relations with Russia, which constitutes the third most important EU trade partner behind the United States and China.
