EU AND BRICS COUNTRIES TRADE OPENNESS ANALYSIS
Original language description
This paper deals with the evaluation of trade openness of the European Union and BRICS countries. The aim is to analyse the state and development of EU and BRICS countries trade openness. In the first part is presented theoretical approach of trade openness of an economy. The second part deals with international trade of chosen countries during the last three decades. The trade openness of countries is analysed and the hypothesis of correlation between the openness of an economy and gross domestic product per capita is tested in last chapter. The analysis shows that there is a significant difference between the developed and developing countries. The positive correlation between trade openness of an economy and its economic performance is also not valid for all economies.
